Let It Snow

This is what I woke up to this morning. I couldn't believe it. I know the weatherman said we were going to get the snow but I was hoping that we wouldn't. It has started snowing again. I am not sure how much we are going to get since I haven't watched the news yet.

On my healthy living news, I have lost another 3 lbs. total for Chubby Chick Challenge 15 lbs. Total 39 lbs.

I went to my ENT doctor on Thursday and I have to have another CT sinus scan. He may have to put a balloon in my nose to open it up. We will wait and see after the scan. I don't know when I will be scheduled for that because I am waiting for it to be approved by my insurance company. The doctor also gave me a sinus rinse. It is like a netti pot but it is a straight bottle and I used it yesterday and it made my nose feel so much better. Oh before I forget the doctor was doing a procedure with a long tube down my nose and the power went out. He was just sucking stuff out of my nose when it happened. The power did not come back on for about 5 minutes. I told them I thought the generator would kick in. He said probably on the hospital side but not on the doctor's offices side.
On Friday my hubby had his appointment for a check up. He turned 50 in September and I have been asking him to go in for a check up. I made the appointment myself. He is going to try and quit smoking. The doctor gave him a prescription and I hope it helps. He hasn't started it yet. He says he is just not ready. I told him he better be ready soon since they up the cost of cigarettes and they are outrageous. LOL He has to have some blood work drawn and an xray of his chest on Friday. I will also schedule his colonoscopy. I can't wait to see how he handles that. LOL

My sprouts are coming up nicely. The top ones are my cabbage and a few bell peppers and the second ones are my cucumbers. I am getting so excited to plant them in the ground, now if only mother nature will change her mind back to spring.

It is going to be another busy day for me. I have to plan my meals for the week and cut up tons of vegetables we bought at the store on Friday. My hubby also wants me to make steak enchiladas and since my daughter won't eat them I will probably make her some beef or steak tacos. Yesterday I made more cabbage rolls. I just love them. I cut them up in my salad just to switch it up a bit. I gave some to my elderly neighbor along with some cole slaw I made. He had a big smile on his face. I also made my daughter a jello cake and a pie and fruit salad for hubby.

Time to get myself in gear.

It's almost April - no more snow. We had a week of nice weather and then it got down into the 40's. Ick!

Congratulations on the loss. Sounds like you're kicking butt!

Fun garden. I haven't started any veggies - just herbs. I'm excited to get them into the ground too!

Congrats on the weight loss. I hope we don't get any snow this late in the season. Those seedings look good. Yucky on the nose tube thing. I have bad sinus also and am now having a bad headache the last two days. Helen

Good for you Dutch. You have been very dedicated to your weight loss program and the results show it. The snow pictures look cold. Where the heck is spring anyway??? We have had sun and rain and hail today so far. Crazy weather!!!

You're doing great! I don't envy you the snow AT ALL.

We planted some tomato plants yesterday and I am hoping they don't freeze to death...
