I finally decided to go to the doctor because I have had a headache for about six weeks now.
I have tried everything over the counter and nothing was working. My headache is just on the left side and over my eye. My back of my ear is also bothering me. He checked me out and said he thought it might be a migraine but I told him I had migraines before and the light and noise is not bothering me. He took my blood pressure twice and it was high both times. He doubled my dosage and also gave me a pain medicine for my headache. It is called Butalbital/apa/caffeine taqua. He also order a Cat scan. I go to get my prescription filled and I take 2 at about 5pm. They didn't seem to be working so I took another 2 at about 9pm. Nothing. I called him this morning and told him they are not working so he called in another prescription for viocidin. I have taken 2 so far and I still have the pain. I am lost. I think I am just going to see if maybe my high blood pressure medicine is going to work. I am also going to Walgreens tomorrow to get a, not sure if I am spelling this right, a nettie pot for my nose. I seem to be having a hard time breathing at night and I have been using vick's vapor rub under my nose. I love the breath right strips but they are so expensive.
Ok, enough about me whining and complaining about my health problems.
The weather here has been windy, rainy and cold. I have also seen a few snow flurries the past few days. I was wondering whatever happened to fall. Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we were in the 70's and now we are in the 30's.I am debating this year if I am going to go all out for Christmas. It takes me a good 2 weeks to put everything up. I have so many houses and decorations. We are getting a real tree this year because my hubby has a friend who owns a farm and he said he can have one for free. I was brought up with a real tree so I don't mind as long as it's for free.
I think it is time for me to put my pj's on and try to relax. I know it is only 4:40 here but it is so dark already it feels like 10pm. Have a great evening everyone.

I am sorry that you have this terrible headache. I know what they are like I have migraines as well...
Oh Dutch, I am sorry you have a migraine. I have had a similar headache since my bad cold but Advil makes it go away. I also have migraines and they are no fun. I have a neti pot too and they are terrific. I got mine at Walgreens and it came with little packets to mix in the water that are a mixture of salt and baking soda. They really work well. We have been having rain here too. Today it seemed to clear a bit though. I hope you feel better soon.
You are not whining when you have had a headache for six weeks!! I would be crying, and you can too...holy cow girl, you need to get an answer for that quickly. I will be keeping you in my prayers and ask God to deliver you from the pain that has kept you for so long now. Bless your heart...

I sure hope you are alright! Six weeks is crazy to have to suffer with that pain, your are not a complainer at all. I hope the meds work, it is a netti pot? I think you should go all out for Christmas and I want to see the pictures.

sounds like possible high blood pressure ha to me (old nurse here lol). but could be several things.
