Rain, Snow....Is it really Spring?

I can't believe the weather we are having. It wasn't to bad yesterday except for the wind which made it feel cold. Today it is raining and the temperature is 39 degrees. We are suppose to get 1-3 inches of snow tonight and then 1-4 inches tomorrow. I am really sick of this. I want to plant some more of my seeds in pots and I love doing it outside. I tried to talk myself into doing it inside today but it doesn't feel right. I just love doing it on the back deck. Ok, enough whining about the weather since there is nothing I can do about it. I know move to Hawaii. LOL

I just got through making 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies and jello with pineapple and mandarin oranges. It is so strange since I started eating healthier that making these sweets does not affect me. I did have one but I don't have the urge to eat more.
I think I have finally figured out how to eat right. It only took me 49 years. LOL Oh, before I forget I lost another 3 lbs making my total for Chubby Chick Challenge to 18 lbs and my total since Dec. to 42 lbs. Wow, I feel great. I exercised 6 days out of 7 and I got in a total of 17 miles this week.
I was shooting for 20 miles but I needed a break. I am also taking a break today since I have been baking and in about an hour I am going to try to make homemade egg rolls and pizza from scratch. My daughter just called and asked when dinner would be ready and I told her I just sat down from baking. I will start in about 45 minutes or so.

I had my CT sinus scan on Friday and I will probably get the results sometime this week. I have been feeling great since the doctor gave me something along the lines of a Netti pot but it is shaped like a bottle. I used it twice already and it really makes my nose feel better. I should have gotten one years ago. I went to Wal-mart and got the sinus rinse and I paid $13.00 for 100 packages. I thought that was pretty good.
My hubby went and had an x-ray of his lungs and he has a spot. They are going to call us to set up a scan for him. First it was me and now him. He is a heavy smoker and I asked him if it has scared him enough to stop and he said no. Once we find out what it is then maybe it will scare him.
I wish he would stop already. We got the medicine from the doctor for him to stop but he says he will stop when he is ready. We will see.

I hope you all have a wonderful week.

42 pounds since Dec.?!?! That is wonderful. You are doing so well.

Congrats on being able to bake and not crave the stuff. Sure wish I had that willpower.

Prayers are with you and hubby on the spot they found. My hubby died of emphazema and smoked until the end. He said he just didn't want to quit. Hope your hubby sees the light and doesn't let it get that far.

That is so great that you've lost that much weight. And you have terrific willpower. I hope the spot on your hubby's lung is nothing to worry about. Maybe then he will think he has a 2nd chance and will quit. Keep us posted please. Have a wonderful afternoon.

Well done on only eating one cookie! I don't think I could have stopped at one.

Congrats on 42 lbs gone. That's fantastic progress!

I hope both your husband's & your scans come back clear.

Hi Dutch!
Glad you're feeling better. I'm sitting here watching the snow pile up outside right now! The robins are confused, lol. I'm tired of it, too.
I've started to get back to being serious on my weight loss, so maybe I can compete with you! You're doing great!
Hope your hubby decides to give up the smokes. Awful habit, yuk!
Have a good week!

The big snow missed us thank goodness. I am glad your sinus's cleared up. Oh and Hawaii.... my sister lives there. A house my size which cost me 85,000 cost her 450,000.00. Everything has to be imported from the mainland and she can't even afford to move back here since the market dropped and she can't sell her house and owes that much on in. So I guess we will take alittle snow huh, LOL. I am keeping my fingers crossed for your husband. And last, great job on the weight loss.

Hi:)

You are doing so wonderful on your weight loss, when are we going to get pictures. I love how you made your page so spring like! I can't believe its going to snow where you are that is just crazy. We have crappy rain for the next few days and the temp will drop hopefully no snow though. I know what you mean about wanting to get out and plant stuff. I did start some seedlings in the house but would rather be able to get stuff in the ground also. I am glad you are feeling better but I really hope your husband is alright. Maybe he needs hypnosis to make him not want to smoke. We have a family friend dying of lung cancer right now and he does not have much time left and he is still smoking!! Enough of doom and gloom, I hope the weather gets better so you can get out and plant.
Hugs!
