I'm Melting

Weighed in this moring and I have lost another 2lbs. total 46
Chubby Chick Challenge 22 lbs total.

I went to my great nephew's 3rd birthday party yesterday and my whole family kept telling me how great I look and how they can notice how much weight I lost. One of my family members took a picture of me and my sister in laws and I was not happy with the picture. I didn't say anything but I know I still have a long way to go. Don't get me wrong I can feel it in the clothes I am wearing and how I can move so much better but when I look at a picture of myself or I look in the mirror I tend to still get down on myself. Oh way I guess that is just my way of thinking right now.

The weather here has been way crazy. It rained on and off all day.
Thank goodness it did not rain while we were at the party but as soon as we got in the car it started pouring. Today the sun keeps coming in and out and it is suppose to get up to the 80's. I am trying to convince my hubby to take a picnic lunch and go on a nice long trail walk somewhere. His new days off are Sunday's and Monday's. He wasn't to happy about it but that is the way it goes at his work. There was only one guy left ahead of him and he took those days. I will have to get used to it.

I went for my cat scan on Thursday and they called me Friday to tell me I have a large abdominal hernia. I knew I did since I went to the emergency room 2 years ago for a kidney stone and they told me that. I have been in so much more pain since exercising. I go see a new surgeon on Thursday. I need to ask him a bunch of questions. I know once I get the surgery done I can't exercise for 6 weeks and that is what is making me think of holding off until I get more weight off. I am not sure if I want to deal with the pain though. I will see when I talk to him on Thursday.

My hubby is doing pretty good on the medicine to stop smoking. It is called I think Chantix. He seems to be a little moody. He told me he is still smoking about 3 a day so he has really cut down. I do want him to stop completely though. All in time.

I need to get off the computer and start my exercise.

I want to wish everyone a fantastic Sunday.

It's wonderful your family is seeing your accomplishments.

I know exactly how you feel about the picture. I know I can feel the changes in my body, I can feel the loose clothes, and more energy...then I look in the mirror and it's like: OH, I'm still fat. lol But the big picture..we're getting there, we're doing it!!!

I wish you well with the doctor visit. Scary, I wouldn't know what to do. Pain isn't good, though, it stresses your body so much and it hurts! I hope the surgeon is good and is able to answer all yoru questions.

I'm a smoker, I know the struggle your hubby is going through. To me it's easier to lose weight than give up my friends. Frenemies, more like it. I wish him well, it's amazing he has been able to cut down that much. Keep us posted on how he is doing...I really need motivation in that department.

Enjoy the sunshine!

Keep an eye on him if he is moody maybe the pills are doing it?

46 pounds is great!! I think we are harder on ourselves than everyone else is. You will look back on that picture in a few years and think "I looked pretty good, wonder why I thought I didn't" I do that all the time. I wish you well on your decision about the surgery. My opinion is the surgery is the most important thing now. Have a wonderful Sunday

46 lbs, absolutely inspirational! I can totally relate with you on the picture thing. Someone took a picture of me yesterday, and I couldnt believe how absolutely fat I still am. I decided I'll keep it as one of my "In Progress" pictures :)

You are doing so wonderful with your weight loss do not get down on yourself. Have your operation so you wont be in pain, you can just watch you calories and then get back to exercising later. It must be a good feeling for people to notice you are shrinking, I think we are always hardest on ourselves.

A co-worker took chantix and she stopped smoking and she said it made her feel like she was in a fog. She stopped taking it and went back to smoking.

It is so hot here Dutch it's crazy it is 86 degree's right now! Too hot for April. I hope you can have your outing with hubby.

Dutch, your doing wonderful. Those hernia's are bad and painful. I think I have another on since my abdomen hurts so bad when I cough. One thing after another.

You are doing FANTASTIC on the weight loss, if you can hold off on the surgery, I would do that... but don't make yourself suffer. You're doing great, girl!!!

Way to go on the 46 lbs gone. As for the surgery I put my gallbladder off for almost 2 yrs, not sure it was the right thing to do but I can say weighing less sure helped with me recovering faster. I guess you need to talk to the doc and see what he says about waiting awhile longer. My doc said plan it like vacation lol but then I never seemed to want to go lol. Cassie) said... are doing good.
I hope you get the hernia taken care of. You will feel so much better.
Have a good week ahead.
